Dokko
Anyone here an electrician? I have a small job for you. Rang up a oven repair place to ask for someone to come out and have a look why my electric oven won't work, and they said they only do gas and i need an electrician; which i thought was fuking odd. After asking a couple of people they believe this is correct now...madness. anyway im looking for a sparky, local to North Tyneside who fancies taking a look at this oven for as cheap as possible. Anyone interested, if not, how much should i be paying? Ta.

Dokko
Another thing, anyone know how to block off an old fireplace? Got a lad coming round to take the old fire out for £50 and cap off the gas etc...but then im going to be left with a hole in the wall, is it a simple job of boarding up the hole (i say simple, i got an F in DT in high school) and having a vent at the bottom? It's canny old and never worked, when me lass bought the house it was left, and this is the reason why, its never worked since she's been here. Guessing parts are going to be £50+ at least to get it working so was hoping £100 all in; if more it might be worth buying a new one. Does he charge to have a look at it? This is the bad lad: Indesit KP9508EXG http://www.electricshop.com/content/ebiz/electricshop/invt/kp9508exg/kp9508exg_f.jpg canny looking thing and why we want to keep it. We ripped out a fire place in our house, not sure how the fck it handed killed the previous owners. Ripped it out, her old man pulled out the vent on the outside wall and bricked it up. Inside we boarded it over and then run done the whole wall with plaster boards and had it plastered.

Know a plasterer, reckon he'll do the lot in terms of boarding it over and plastering it?
