they were handed out when you went in the turnstiles. its the shearer testimonial ones, just got back from it. during the 2mins silence everyone held them up, looked absolutley amazing, dont know how it looked on the tele?

think it was just freddy trying to sweeten us up.

It was shown on the tele like during the silence, they need to be handed out at the next home game if the truth be known!

they were leftovers from the Shearer game.

We were going to get a scarf day at home this season, but that was shelved because of money problems( club can try and pull the wool over our eyes saying they were faulty)

My only surprise is that the club did not try and charge people for the leftover scarfs

Toon Army's Top Tribute

NEWCASTLE United's travelling fans paid a unique tribute to Britain's war dead during a minute's silence prior to the game against Manchester City.

The Toon Army were handed black and white scarves as they entered the stadium, and they were all raised to create a spectacular tribute as the City of Manchester venue fell silent to mark Armistice Day.

United will repeat the gesture of handing out scarves - which was first done for Alan Shearer's Testimonial - at a forthcoming home fixture.

---------------------------------------------

Finally something to look forward to at SJP

Bribery!!! Bribery - with a free scarf?! So this is what it has come to - Freddy bribing us with free scarves?!!

You could at least hold out until Freddy shells out the thirty pieces of silver...
