Tooj
Seeing as the forum seems to be on a bit of a Beatles theme, what's everyone's favourite Lennon solo material? Now I know he did release some absolute tosh but also some absolute fantastic work. I'm off out to the match now so will post back later; although for now I'd like to throw in God and Out The Blue as some of his best work.
GM
If you're looking for comments from fellow Lennon purists who don't dabble in "best of" albums, then I'm afraid I don't have anything other than "Lennon - Legend" compilation but most of the tracks on that are pretty good. ross magoo
It's a strange one. Lennon's solo material was better than Harrison's but I preferred the Beatles' stuff that was more Harrison influenced.
Guest Heneage
His former lover Yoko Ono was on Jools Holland, she sounded truly horrendous.

That's all I have too but I've never been inticed to buy anything else by him. Love the Beatles but not crazy about any of the solo stuff.

Cronky
Not much of Lennon's solo material will stay the course, I feel. Imagine has become a hippie hymn, but personally I find it dull. Jealous Guy I like. He ran out of steam pretty soon after the break up.
LucaAltieri
Working Class Hero Of course the Green Day cover pisses all over the original.
