Heron
Just need some advice - Is damp and mould on walls/ceilings predominantly caused by problems with the brickwork and/or guttering? Or is it more of a problem condensation from within the house? Or even both? Just moved into a flat with 2 mates and have noticed a few patches starting to become a bit damp and wondering how to prevent or stop it... Thanks in advance. Dokko
We should start a club. I got a dehumidifier from Argos, takes about 2litres of water out of a room a day, but it can take up to 10 depending how bad it is. It's working like.

Heron
How much was this de-humidifier?
cp40
right, ive been here before,.. check ventilation, damp course , pointing guttering etc, open windows daily to let damp air out. If all that fails , knock the house down.
AyeDubbleYoo
I always thought a de-humidifier was strictly for comfort and personal preference... are they used to solve damp problems?
