Quite a lot of those I haven't even heard of and another big chunk of them are pure and utter shit.

Such a subjective thing as what is better than something else is always going to be controversial.  I tend to find that many of the movies that have won Oscars are soooo dull and unwatchable while I could watch a movie like Die Hard over and over again.  That will be why I will never be invited to sit on a critic panel I suppose....

The top ten are all excellent films (apart from Bond)...but clearly picked by people with affiliations to the British film council and the lottery film fund.

It's like a single production company getting over 60% of the top ten.

Anyhow.  Zavvi are doing 80% off the top 100 so if you ain't seen any of the top ten, pop over there.

Pan's Labyrinth only at 74 and I don't see Amelie. Sideways at 27, shite film. However I do like the way it's picked good films but still compiled a list comprehensible to your average punter, it's not too 'limited release'.

Haneke is a fucking cretin, the epitomy of the pseudo intellectual morons who populate the film world. His films are worthless and dishonest.

My top ten (alphabetically)

Amelie

Dancer In The dark

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind

Hunger

Irreversible

Oldboy

O Brother, Where Art Thou?

There Will Be Blood

The Beat That My Heart Skipped

The Consequences of Love

Bolded ones would make my top 5 I reckon.  Constant Gardner number 52.  Christ, I hated that film.

Not one film from the first half of the decade.  Anyone would think they're trying to shift DVD's.

Hilarious...

49. Knocked Up

66. City of God

Seriously?

City of God should be much higher

It should be number 1, its awesome. Shame is its in Portuguese so people dont like it. I'll try and find the review in one of the big british papers that gave it 5/10 as it wasn't in English...
