captainhaircut
The speakers on my laptop are crackling when I move the laptop. If I mute it the crackling stops, but with headphones plugged in the crackling can be heard in the headphones. All of this crackling is occuring without any audio playing on the laptop. Its just making crackling, static noises whenever the laptop is moved. I've disabling the sound driver and re-enabled it and the crackling is gone for 2/3 mins but then it returns. Any geniuses out there with any ideas?
Segun Oluwaniyi
No idea, but I had the same last year with mine. That one had a dodgy harddrive, so maybe something similar?
Chrissy Bee
Sounds like an issue with some electricity. Some circuitry will be a bit knacked and it's affecting the sound chip.
Guest Lazlo
Have you sorted this out ? If it only happens when you move it it's like what Chrissy said. A bad speaker jack would be the least of your problems but if it's doing it through the headphones as well your sound chip could be shagged. No way to tell really tbh but good luck with that.
