Lost the remote

I haven't seen the remote control for the tv/bt vision for 3 days now. Looked down the back of the chairs/couch and it's no-where to be found, and its not like I live in a tip or owt. The big cat, Groucho, has a habit of picking up stuff and walking around with it in his mouth (letters, the little un's toys, etc) and I have a feeling he has picked it up off the floor and hid it. How hard can it be to find a remote control?

Ring it and follow the sound.

Thinking about it, that would be a good idea, if there was a device in the remote where you could ring a number if you'd lost it, and it would make a sound.

Or, GPS in the remote, linked to your PC.

Nobody steal my ideas please!!!

when we were kids we had a remote that was joined to the telly by an inch thick black cable about 6ft long, just not quite far enough to reach the sofa. It only had two buttons, to switch channel up, and volume. ...it worked and it never got lost. tho it was shit.

My remote is usually on top of the telly (which causes my younger brother much amusement about why bother having a remote if you have to walk to the telly to get the remote and so you could just turn it over-which would be a case in point, if all tellys didn't have just remotes now and not buttons like they used to). One of the kids must have left it on the floor which is usually a no-no. Hmmmmm
