Washing powder stains on dark clothing.

Anyone know how to avoid this? It's like the washing powder is bleaching my clothes, as every now and then after washing them a black tshirt or whatever will have small light patches. Just happened to a shirt I bought a week ago.

I'll let one of the other resident lasses field this one.  :snod: I use liquids rather than powders and I've never had any bother.  :aww:

If it's owt like deodorant marks you can rub them off with a dressing gown or towel..

Use less powder, rinse it longer, wash at lower temperature, slow spin.

Cheers, I'll tell mum that.

Nah Jill it's like it's been bleached, won't wash off annoyingly.

try smeering some toothpaste very lightly on the affected area , like spreading marge on a snadwich then wash again.

Thanks, I'll give that a try.

I'd actually be lost without this place.
