Mike Ashley Uncovered: An Inside Out Special

Sunday, 22:25 on BBC One (North East & Cumbria only)

He is the owner Newcastle United fans love to hate - but how does he make the money that bankrolls the club? A special Inside Out investigation traces the source of Mike Ashley's wealth. The programme follows the supply chain for his hugely successful Sports Direct empire that has placed him among some of Britain's richest entrepreneurs. It is a journey that leads to some of the world's poorest people working for just a pound a day.

Ashley - "Le Coq Sportif have 3rd world ball production? But Roger, I don't own Le Coq. Yes, our ball handling facilities in the Far East, but they're not dodgy like Le Coqs. Le Coqs balls come on the cheap."

Mellie - "Ha ha, oh Fuck. What can I say, put it there Mike you fat cunt."

Wonder if they're doing one on the Mackem Mafia.

Nah.

Every other football club owner, and indeed all billionaires in general, made their money from environmentally friendly, socially aware schemes.

Fat Mike's the only one who's a c*nt and therefore the only one BBC can do a programme on.
