bulivye
i have a colleague who teaches a course on American Immigration history and one of the things he likes to do at the start of every class is play an immigrant song. He plays everything from Seeger to Guthrie to Diamond to Springsteen to Zeppelin to Genesis. he also plays Irish immigrant songs and a lot of American folk music. here's his request: "I am trying to build my immigrant song library. Which songs would you suggest I play for my class this semester?" so, got any (non-pisstake ) songs you'd like to have heard across the pond?
