Super Duper Branko Strupar
What is your favourite accent, least favourite or absolutely abhored? I've just been listening to an interview with MS Dhoni and I absolutely love the Indians and Sri Lankan's accents when they speak English. In terms of English I do like some Scottish accents, especially on lasses, dont mind Brummie as long as its not too strong. Really hate cockney as a general rule...Spurs and Arsenal cockney, and sa'af landan as well...they just grate on me. Jermaine Defoe's accent is atrocious! MW
Like the london one as I have one. Like scouse, think its very amusing. Don't like brummie/manc/mackem/teesside/cornish. love geordie/scottish/northern irish (paddy maguireish)

BlueStar
Can't take the Welsh accent seriously, must be tough being a Cardiff hooligan and trying to sound hard "I'll batter you, I will."

What part of the country you from then?! Westmeath originally, very flat accents there. Lived in Cork these last two years, lived in Galway for 4 before that. I've developed somewhat of a general Irish accent at this point I'm told, which is grand.
Northerngimp
I like a soft scottish accent on a lady.
Nobody
I've never liked Aussie accents, until this Saturday when I met a lush Australian lass and loved her accent Worst one for me is Scouse though, can't stand it.
Guest toonlass
Best Geordie, Scandinavian, Glasweigan, Worst and most annoying Brummie, Saaafff Lundaaarrrrn, Mackem and the way people from south shields say food "fud". (sorry lanky, tooj etc)
AyeDubbleYoo
I like a soft scottish accent on a lady. On a lady I'm a fan of Yorkshire and/or Northern Irish... both good. There's no accent that really annoys me, they're all interesting. Scouse probably comes the closest!
Guest toonlass
The way mancs say "bokkle" and "hospikal" annoys me like.
Allmo
Irish and a slightly Posh accent on women is always nice.
nobby_solano
i think the only ones which annoy me are probably - cockernee geezers, like the 'wonga!' fella, mackem, the geordie charva 'heeeere maaaan, yer daf cuuuuun...' i like pretty much most accents on girls, esp french, irish, light scottish,
Shak
Mackems and Geordies sound more or less the same tbh.
huss9
love the welsh accent, but hate strong brummie even more than cockney. also to all mackems... it's a curry, not a kerry!!! grrr!
nobby_solano
something i noticed.... english - don't geordie - divvn't south shields - daint mackem - dinnit quite a variation for just a few miles
Guest toonlass
And how come people from County Durham don't live in DURham they live in DERham?
relámpago blanco
Mackems and Geordies sound more or less the same tbh. Bollocks, they should do but mackms change geordie slightly so they can pretend they have a distinctive accent.
Keefaz
And how come people from County Durham don't live in DURham they live in DERham? Cos't they have the mackem 'er' sound.
garth
Hate the cockney accent, don't really like the New York one either, same for the accent from good old Alabama. Like very much when Swedish women talk English and the Norwegians also. quite like the Welsh when they speak.
Keefaz
Depends on male and female. A girl with a Welsh accent can sound hot, whereas a bloke'll just sound thick. Same with Somerset/Cornwall etc.
Kaizero
Scandinavian, Geordie, upper class London accent (only on girls) and LA (Not the one the Spanish speakers speak) are the best imo. Worst are German, Spanish, Scouse and southern US.
Ronaldo
My own accent; half geordie, half yorkshire. On girls I like the cockney accent.
