Kasper
I'll be mostly following curling & ice hockey and randomly other sports where Finns are competing. Which is pretty much everything else but bobsleigh, luge & skeleton. <---- GB's curling team skip David Murdoch. My favourites to win
Keefaz
We're awful at everything except curling. Oh, I think we're alright at bobsled and skeleton and that. Anything that involve skiing: we're fucked.
Stifler
I thought it started on Saturday, anyway I'll be keeping an eye on the Bobsleigh.
Guest Roger Kint
Used to love watching ski jumping when i was a kid, as i have nowt to do at work next week i could end up watching most of the sports
Fenham Mag
I love the winter Olympics.
Dr.Spaceman
The snowboarding is the only thing that remotely interests me.
Karjala
Can't fuckin wait, first event is the Ski Jumping on Friday night, 6pm on Red Button Bit disapointed with BBCs schedule, basically canny if you have sky (6 interative channels) but if you only have Freeview theres only 1 interactive channel, plus BBC2. Last winter olympics they had at least 2 red button channels. Anyway, i prefer the winter olympics to the summer ones, and have the following bets going: Mens NH Ski Jumping: Loitzl 10/1 Mens LH Ski Jumping: Schlierenzauer 2/1 Mens Downhill Skiing: Janka 7/1 Mens Super G Skiing: Cuche 7/1 Womens Giant Slalom: Poutiainen 6/1 Mens Ice Hockey: Finland 16/
Dr.Spaceman
In fact the ice hockey should be good as well.
Keefaz
Was always a big fan of all the sled events. I'll be watching the skeleton, I hope, as it's fucking insane.
TêteDeMaure
Isn't Chemy Alcott favourite in a few of the skiing events? Aswell as having pretty good chances in the skeleton/bobsleigh etc? We aren't as shite as we used to be.
Kaizero
Gonna place a bet on Jacobsen for NH and LH (Ski Jumping) as he's been picking up very very good form the past weeks, should get decent odds.
Segun Oluwaniyi
http://newsimg.bbc.co.uk/media/images/40878000/jpg/_40878508_kwame300.jpg I'll keep tabs on him, Ghana's skiing olympian. I like speed skating races as well, really hectic. Outside of that I have little interest. We've never sent anyone to this competition, ever.
pedro111
Some people say, we cant believe, Jamaica we have a bobsled team.
Kaizero
First doping scandal already before the games have started, 30 participants banned from the games.
SEMTEX
So I take it this thread will just be dominated by Americans and Scandinavians? Stupid snow.
Kasper
So I take it this thread will just be dominated by Americans and Scandinavians? Stupid snow. Yes. Like we'll dominate you in Vancouver. GO SNOW
Kasper
First doping scandal already before the games have started, 30 participants banned from the games. Apparantly a lot of those athletes if not all are not very good. Most wouldn't have competed in Vancouver anyways. It's probably a PR stunt to make out they've actually got the cheats out which of course is a load of shit.
ElDiablo
http://newsimg.bbc.co.uk/media/images/40878000/jpg/_40878508_kwame300.jpg Why is that so funny?
1878
Skeleton is possibly the greatest sport ever invented.
Keefaz
Skeleton is possibly the greatest sport ever invented. I was reading the other day that someone died after crashing into a bobsled someone had left on the course. Fuckinghell.
Karjala
Gonna place a bet on Jacobsen for NH and LH (Ski Jumping) as he's been picking up very very good form the past weeks, should get decent odds. Yep looked good, but Morgenstern jumped well in todays practice (10/1 bet). NH is up for grabs, but cant see anyone other than Schlieri or Ammann on the LH
