Second season starts on Bravo tomorrow at 9PM.

In the second season you will be able to follow the giant rig Leiv Eiriksson on its journey from the North Sea to the Black Sea, as the first oil plattform ever to drill for oil in the Black Sea.

To make this happen, they had to dismantle the upper part of the drilling derrick in order to make the rig able to pass under the two suspension bridges crossing the Bosporus straits.

Im looking forward to this very much, since i have been a part of the crew during the whole operation :)

Nah - they brought them in through the Straits like the Leiv Erickson -smaller rigs mind-  I think there's at least one working off Romania/Bulgaria, another off Turkey and the Ukrainians have at least one as well - tho one may be a drillship

The REAL problem was getting modern rigs into the Caspian - I think they took them to the Ukraine and then basically cut them in half to tow up the Don , across on a canal (J V Stalin KNEW it would come in useful one day) and then down the Volga where they reassembled them... not cheap...................
