BlueStar
I'd usually call bullshit on rumours like this, but this PDF file has been found on the official Nintendo.jp site announcing the successor to the DS with a working title of the Nintendo 3DS. http://img708.imageshack.us/img708/8452/1269330668895.png English: http://www.nintendo.co.jp/ir/pdf/2010/100323e.pdf Japanese: http://www.nintendo.co.jp/ir/pdf/2010/100323.pdf
SEMTEX
I'd buy that bastard like.
Nobody
They've just announced a new DSi Big or whatever, how many fucking iterations of that console do they need?
M4
Nintendo are so gimmicky now, it's a little sad
Mike
Didn't the fucking DSi come out like, a fucking year ago?
Kaizero
I no longer have any time for Nintendo. I just wish they would stop making consoles and rather make their games for the 360 or even the PS3.
SEMTEX
Well I don't think they expect you to buy them all. They're using their existing kit, with a few alterations to try and attract new users, without alienating the older users (by providing backwards compatibility). It made me a lot more interested than I have been before tbh.
BlueStar
The DS is probably the best console of the past five years in my opinion and it's left the PSP dead in the water. They've already used headtracking using the DSi camera to produce 3D effects, so it may be an expansion on that idea
Spider Jerusalem
Have only really played one game for more than 10 minutes on my DS - GTA: Chinatown Wars. The rest I've played are, in my opinion, total shovelware to be honest. The PSP was a much better machine and held my attention more but the awful, awful battery life killed that as well. BlueStar
Must have racked up hundreds and hundreds of hours on mine, although I wasn't a fan of GTA:CW. Nowt on the PSP interests me at all, most games just seem to be stripped down home-console titles.
SEMTEX
Yeah I'm a lot more interested in DS games than the attempts at making portable versions of next-gen games. Saying that, the iPhone is getting more and more full of interesting games, so I'm not sure I want either.
BlueStar
Loads more info since the announcement of a release date. http://img517.imageshack.us/img517/8679/3dsfinal8812282.jpg Launch details: http://gbatemp.net/t257517-nintendo-announce-3ds-launch-details Tag mode explained http://gbatemp.net/t257530-nintendo-3ds-tag-mode-explained Street Fighter 4 details http://gbatemp.net/t257515-super-street-fighter-iv-3d-trailer
Nobody
Starfox Not that it comes to any surprise, but it's a shame it's so expensive. Probably won't be able to afford one.
matta
Ocarina of time in 3D could be worth it alone if the 3D thingy is any good... looks great !

Spider Jerusalem
No, it's out in Feb in Japan. Aye - my fucking reading has been comprimised sitting looking at the bloody screen all day yesterday. I thought it said December for some reason. Just hope that we don't get the customary 1:1 conversion ratio from American prices for hardware - £300 would be a killer for this. Anything much above £200 would probably scare off the 'traditional' casual Nintendo customer over here to be honest.
