win 7 drivers

Bought a 2nd hand hdd this week, turns out it had win7 on it.

 

It appeared to set itself up fine with my hardware, however wheni try and run 3dgames the problems start.

 

I have a pci-e gfx card which is bit old.....geforce 9500 GT 1mb ram. made by inno3d.  I cant find any win7 drivers on their site.

 

is there a way round this or are we talking about having to upgrade to a card that has win7 driver?

 

In general its pretty good os.  actually runs faster than xp or seems to.

have you tried the generic nvidia ones mate.

ive found in past that the nvidia `one size fits all` doesnt always solve the problem....but better than a generic MS one i guess!

Trying to run games with a windows default graphics driver is never going to work, those nvida ones should sort you out.

I think Windows is pretty damn good at automatically downloading the newest manufacturer's drivers through the auto-update now.
