Making DVDs

I have a few episodes of a TV show in avi format on my computer and a bloke from work has given me some DVD+R discs to put them on for him. I have never made a DVD disc and I am wondering which is the best way to do it and which program to use. He will be playing them on a standard DVD player. Do I need to convert the files first?

Guest Lazlo

Aye you need to convert them first unless your dvd player supports xvid and divx.

Convertxtodvd  is pretty painless to use

Sounds like you have the same approach as my dad.

"Aye, I know how to burn DVDs, no bother. Do it all the time, i'll bring them in tomorrow for you"

.....

''Alreet son..er you any good at burning DVDs?

I used to be right into making my own DVD's from avi's. used to make all sorts using DVD Lab to create the menus and converting using various apps such as Tmpgenc.

These days I can't be arsed and just use ConvertXtoDvd as Lazlo has suggested. Really easy to use.

Haha. I said if he gave me the DVD's that I would have a go. Turns out I got stuck.

Thanks Lazlo. Used ConvertXtoDvd and it seems to have done the trick.
