ponsaelius
Yeah they both do good coffee. Pumphreys are a good tea option. Great to see the scaffolding coming down - the roof looks superb.
TBG
Used to date a lass that works at Pumphreys. Damn I miss the care and affection free tea, coffee and food.

TBG
The bar down the Bigg Market called Pumphrey's isn't actually that bad. Very much a Market Shaker crowd on a Friday/Saturday night though. Edited March 15 by TBG
TBG
Actually I think it's owned by the same owners of Market Shaker.

OpenC
You're best of just getting bottles of the original extra stout tbh, it's better than even the best pint of draught
pedro111
I sank 12 pints of Guinness in London on the Saturday and I vividly remember one pint in particular was head and shoulders above the rest. So now I am searching for the best pint up here. Will get to Ireland one day to sample the good stuff but not sure if that's a load of old cobblers or not. I just had a taste of one and it tasted of water. Fwening. They aren't, nowhere near. I don't trust the Irish on much but a pint of a stout and they are easily the best. Can be ruined by shit pouring like a lot of other beers, but I don't know what people are thinking happens to Guinness when it's taken from Dublin. Is it carried very carefully by hand to all pubs in Ireland to avoid bruising the molecules? Does the liquid become sentient and detect that it's been moved more than 20 miles from Dublin? Forces itself to go bad or revert to water under those circumstances? I don't want to ruin another thread with my same argument like maybe it's thread worthy, 'the Better In Dublin myth and other cognitive dissonances' Edited March 19 by OpenC
