It's not really even contradictory – Kroenke "has shown" (in the intervening four years since the original quotes, during which time he's been on the Arsenal board) that blah blah blah.

Yanks don't change.

"has shown" suggests to me that Hill-Wood realised, not Kroenke changing, regardless PHW came out and said that he was wrong when they brought him in as a board member.

Usmanov is in no mood to sell his Arsenal stake to Kroenke, says ally. He is livid, feels AFC stitched him up.

They have, they know Lady Nina wants out and Fizman is... well... in no fit state at the moment. They don't want Usmanov in any kind of control at the club. If he was Arsene Wenger would be undermined completely because Usmanov wants to come in and spend a couple of hundred million on players, not our way. Keeping Usmanov out is the board's aim. If Usmanov got in, Arsene would be gone at the end of his contract.

He might even want to come in and sign a decent centre back and keeper for ye  :aww:

a reliable top quality striker might be helpful rather than the great in his own mind bedneter or the broken half the time van persie

Should get a lend of our scouting team, by all accounts they're going to be finding them left, right and centre at ease in the summer, bound to be loads left over.

Fact is, this is not gonna make much difference to Arsenal.  Wenger for last 4 seasons has had a cashpile of £50m+ which he refuses to spend.

His reluctance to sign players is not off neccesity, it's because he only wants to sign players that 'fit' into the club and team.
