The battle between these two currency systems has begun in earnest, it is very much 'old Europe' v 'the new world' as it were. When Germany and France are referred to in the new Cheney/Bush/Rumsfeld lexicon as 'old Europe', they can be sure it is a declaration of hostilities. The German banking monoliths have syphoned much power around the € and the spreading of the European Union into Eastern Europe shows that 'old Europe' is serious.

That was what I was trying to say in the other thread ffs! blueupset.gif

About.......You know.....the bankers...the Fed... bluewink.gif

This one isn't as simple as that, even the oil companies are slowly taking sides.

BP have hooked up with Amaco keeping us on the U.S. side of things and Elf and Fina have got together to protect the interests of 'old Europe'.

no - not the Fed - bankers - the lads in suits in Canary Wharf, the City, Wall Street, the odd gnome (begging yer Elfship)

Th elads who get a zillion quid bonus - don't care if the $ goes up or down - they're covered all ways

The Fed , the BoE and the ECB have to manage the currencies - the bankers just cream off their take
