Martins, Dyer, Zoggy, even Emre all have pace that teams are shit scared of. If these players are kept fit I can see us scoring more goals, which is clearly what we need. We should have pummelled Pompey today, but i'm much more optimistic with some pace in the team. The goals against Arsenal and today have proved how we can score on the break, something we always used to do under SBR.

Aye. The biggest miss is a natural finisher. Last year even when Shearer was slow and largely ineffective, we knew if he had a clear chance he'd take it. Keep the pace in the team though and we'll create enough chances without a finisher.

They did show it, They said something like "There a bit of daylight between Newcastle and the bottom 3"

The more Dyer and Martins play together, the more goals they will score. What's funny though, the team seemed to work better when Sibi came on and Dyer was providing balls for those two. Emre absolutely dominated the midfield. Zoggy was lightning when he ran at players.

 

Portsmouth simply couldn't cope and it's very encouraging.
