Storm chaser would be mine or a Test driver for new cars.

That's my Wife's dream job.  She wet her pants when we were on holiday, we went to the Natural History Museum and they were filming some promo for the new season of Storm Chasers outside. So they had the big tank truck thingy sitting there, with all its gadgets. Tried to get a photo of her with it, but some woman came across and told us they were still filming (which I knew but thought I'd be an arsehole and try it anyway).

We apologised and said it was her (wife) dream job. Next thing we knew we're talking to the driver of the truck and getting our photos taken.

My dream job would be to be an Academy Football Coach, which I'm not too far away from. So its all good.

i how confused this thread is

unless i'm wrong macphisto isn't asking about your own dream job, he's on about the specific job he posted

still good thread anyway...i'd say i'm virtually in mine as well, would just prefer to be doing something more specialised within the industry

Never understood the idea of the "dream job." I certainly don't hate what I do, but it's a way to pay the bills and keep living. The "dream" for me is just the best ratio of time to compensation. Happiness shouldn't really be wrapped up in your employer.

Totally disagree with the happiness bit.

If your happy in your job, your happier, more productive.

If you doing a job that pays the bills, then you tend to end up hating your employment and tend to be a nit more unhappy

I never had a point in life where I woke up one morning and realized what my calling was in life, but I found a subject I enjoy and went with it.

My previous job was the most tedious piece of shit job in the world, so I'm very glad to be working where I am now. The work is a lot more varied and I'm doing work that needs doing, rather than making paperwork for the sake of process.

This has made me a lot happier in general day-to-day shit. I even drive through the park to work every so often, it takes 10 minutes longer, but I like to mull over life and shit when I go.

Plus it goes past a cheap petrol station.

Anyway, I digress, find a job you enjoy, where you're treated well, and you're a worthwhile part of the company and you will be less of a cunt after work IMO. Even if it's not your 'calling'.

Are you really laughing out loud though? I bet you're not, and thats what hurts. When people just lie for no reason.

I don't understand people who know what their dream job would be. Why aren't you fucking doing it, then?

Generally because it's beyond their limits of intelligence, finance and/or luck. ???
