My Dad was a schoolmate/played on the same team as Trevor Francis.

I went to school with a former Exeter City goalkeeper.

My Uncle was a youth player at Bristol Rovers.

My housemate's Dad played for Stoke.

Prepare to be underwhelmed:

- One of my mate's closest family friends is Kevin Carr.

- Work colleague is really good mates with Shola Ameobi and his missus.

- My mum's friend's boyfriend is vice chairman of Blyth Spartans.

Oh, and Jamie McClen went to my high school/current place of work!

I am friends with a sports agents who is the UK representative/agent for Maldini, and Franco Baresi. He is also on speaking terms with a prince from UAE, and is the agent of Lee Sharp and was even given a pet dog by him.

I also used to play football with Jack Colback.

Slightly more tenuous, but a friend of a friend is Tim Krul's best mate.

My Dad went to the same school as Ben Tozer, albeit 20 years before.

A school friend was neighbours with the England U19 coach.
