Wireless help required

Okay so I've got my new faceplate sorted (see GC thread) and i'm now connecting at 5.5mb. Running a speedtest with the ethernet cable in gives results i'd expect.

However, plugging in a USB wireless adapter (Netgear WG111) only gives me 10% of the speed. I can get into my router page etc, but i'm not sure what else to do.

Any suggestions?

Hmm, think it's just my line playing silly buggers. Anyway, since I changed the faceplate I get:

Download Speed: 4448 kbps (556 KB/sec transfer rate)

Upload Speed: 513 kbps (64.1 KB/sec transfer rate)

:)

aren't you quite a long way away from your router?

About 10 metres maximum.

I've changed the channel and moved the router a bit, seems to be better. Still not as reliable as ethernet though, which is irritating.
