johnnypd
I mean, it's not a foregone conclusion, but it's quite hilarious anyone thinks the Republicans will win. Everyone did the same the last time around. There's literally nothing to suggest it other than the fear of it. Talk to the Yanks, they'll tell you this. they don't have to win it, they just have to be able to steal it. look at their massive efforts at voter suppression across many key states. lots of little tweaks and adjustments here and there add up, and even if they only amount to a percent in a key state like Florida, that might be all it needs. Incredible. i think what Ronaldo is saying is that Fox News hires liberal patsies/devil's advocates on their network in order to have something to argue against. That's what this Sally Kohn and Alan Colmes are all about - they make hyperbolic liberal statements on fox every day, it's not unusual, but they're merely the set up for the likes of Hannity, O'Reilly, Hume, Beck to come in and argue against them, and a justification for their 'fair and balanced' motto. B-more Mag
I'm generally very moderate and tend to say my true political alliance is practicality. Whatever is in the best interests of my country at that given intersection and 4 year outlook is the way I vote. The current administration has p*ssed off more people than you could ever imagine. I haven't the slightest clue who will win to be honest. And it DEF can go either way, this is by no means a landslide for the current administration man. These next 60ish days are going to be f***ing massive. It won't be a landslide by any means, but I just can't see Mitt winning. The Republicans and independents who hate Obama will show up just to vote against him, but there's no groundswell of conservative support for Romney. I think Obama will outclass Romney in the debates and Romney won't be able to get enough swing voters excited enough about him to get the kind of turnout he'd need to win. B-more Mag
The thing is, anybody that I'd really want to vote for is too smart to want to be President, or really to get into politics at all. It's sort of like me not wanting to join any club that would have me as a member.

Vinny Green Balls
I thought our politics was bad President in the US is pretty pointless anyway is it not? Real villains are congress. The military industrial complex. Congress are just mouthpieces for the interests behind them.
Vinny Green Balls
This may sound unpatriotic, because it is. The US is becoming a washed-out rock band playing the casinos. It's become a second-rate country and rightly so. The majority of the values only really ever applied to white men. There has always been a strong patrician class, and the American Dream is Panacea at its worst. Fact is that most of us never escaped the year 1925, which is a serious shame, because it's also the country that gave us brilliant 20th century authors, propelled the world into the age of information, and has led the way in virtually every field of science. Vinny Green Balls
Hannity and Colmes. Hannity, the robust All-American looking Republican who is implacable in his views. Colmes, the Gollum-looking Democrat who announces when they have to take a commercial break.

It's sort of like me not wanting to join any club that would have me as a member. Who would you want as President? No one specific. Ideally it would be somebody uses the best interests of humanity and society as the test for making decisions and isn't beholden to a party structure or financial contributors. I don't think that kind of person exists, and they certainly wouldn't be able to win any sort of election for public office. In our current political environment, you really have to be a massive egomaniac to run for President. You really have to think that you are the one special person who is uniquely qualified above all others to lead the country. You also have to be willing to accept that at any given time a massive number of people hate you. And I don't mean dislike. I mean full-on hate you and wish for bad things to happen to you. But you've got to be able to shake that off and still think that you can do the job better than anyone else. Most smart, rational people who care about other people don't act this way. It comes close to requiring a narcissistic personality disorder.

SEMTEX
Just as I thought. I look forward to your next one line post. One fantastically condescending, yet vague sentence. It must be vague though. Don't forget the vague. That way he can ensure your riposte is irrelevant to what he actually meant. It's a great little thing he has going on. I mean, why would you try and explain your opinion in a clear and concise manner?! I don't see any benefits to it.
BlufPurdi
I put a hell of a lot more thought and effort into posts and discussions than him, so away you go with your silly WUM shite. I don't personally watch Fox, but this was highlighted through another American medium and I possibly got it wrong. Instead of pointing it out in a decent manner, like johnny, he tried to be the big shot, know-it-all again. Nae one buys it. Sad, though, Semtex, that you choose to immerse yourself in that. Actually tried to make an effort with you recently, but I'll just go back to not bothering with you cause you've really nowt to say about much about this stuff. EDIT: What an idiot I am. Away for a fucking cup of tea.
