Looks class, I'd love that, it's just having not tried VR I can't get my head around how it can look like that, or how it can have that kind of depth and not feel like you're looking at something a few inches away. I believe you, I just can't imagine it!

 Aye that's why I posted it. The pic does it no justice it looks legitimately real (at a glance).

Look I’m gonna ask the question, what’s the porn like?

Well... shortly after I shared on Facebook I had got one a number of people recommend games and things to do. One PM'd me to say "try vrsmash" - first thought it was some tennis game, until I googled it.

It's odd, curiosity got better of me - I randomly picked a video off the site which happened to be several birds on one bloke, some with each other, 3 or 4 hounded the bloke. It's his PoV. My first thought was it was a bit too real and felt uncomfortable, like I was suddenly in the room with these girls moaning and groaning looking me in the eye doing their filthy things to this dude. Bit too real , but also as resolution is 1080p stretched it looked a bit odd too. Also a bit too up in ya face. It's very unusual and awkward, I guess if you stick with it it's more immersive and you get used to the difference, just like anything VR. I've not really thought about it since, a bit not for me, but can imagine it will grow as VR gets better.

It reminded me of Lister in Red Dwarf when he was on the ships VR banging girls in the VR games which came with some form of groinal attachment  - in a few years clearly all things VR will advance and porn will get better and go this way. Funny how things from 80s/90s sometimes predict the future too well.

 In my experience 50GB is a minimal file size if you want to be completely immersed. You're looking at more like at least 100GB for the "We will never progress beyond this" level of depravity.

Mine was streaming, said you had to pay to be a member for more quality if I recall. Crikey, is that what 4k 360 degree filmed filth goes by file size?

Soon as I take this off I'm just gonna be in my dumb old home without the big fuck off movie screen showing the playoff game.

I've played it almost daily for last 3 weeks. Love it. See my post above if you haven't. You will surprise yourself and start turning 1 or 2 minute fights in to 5 x 3 minute ones. For £7.99 it's excellent value.

Trying to best them all on endurance, doing OK - mid way through on the Mexican bloke. Completed all on easy and normal. Done the opening sparring guy on outclassed, but fear that will break me on some of these fighters!

Even if I finish it, you can do custom fights in such detail. Going to build up to proper 12 rounds of 3 minutes with only 30 seconds break. Try to get my cardio up to what real length is like.

Done the first few fights on this and it is a workout like. Are there any tacticcs I shou;d be using aside from just generally wailing on them, bodyblows to get them to lower their guard and concentrating on a cut you've opened up?  Feel a bit like I've missed a tutorial or something.

All depends where you're at. I've beaten them all on easy and normal, now on the last dude from Bristol on endurance mode. If the fight is short ones like 1 x 1.5 min or 2 x 3 mins, you can afford to go for intensity and big hits. If it's 3 x 3 mins or more you can't afford to burn yourself out, so have to play for points (depends on your fitness, but a 3 x 3 min or more match is hard work to sustain high work rates and eventually you will tire and drop your guard!).

Use the jab to keep them at bay, and use your weak arm to do jabs to the body to bring their guard down to then land a big hit on the chin. A left jab to the body with a right hook as guard comes down has scored me many KOs. I struggle to generate power with my left, so sometimes go for body with my right that does more damage, but its hard to circle back up and catch them with same hand.

Power hits are important for knock downs, but placement is key over pure strength. Timing them as they drop their guard is very hard but works best.

For the longer fights, think more in and out. Use jab to keep them distant, or if they start to close in you can back them up. Circle your opponent more too - standing in same spot won't work as you fight longer and tougher opponents. You're too much of a sitting duck even with guard up.

If you score 2 early knock downs in a round you have a chance to end it by going for a 3rd but it can fuck you if you gas yourself with 2 or more rounds to go and you fail to find that big 3rd hit. Ive manged to win a fight with 3 knockdowns in a round with 1 second to go

Each fighter has slightly different style - learn their pattern of attack and defense. You start to learn what counter punches they will catch you with, but also how to circle away and block their flurries. Their height and size is important, because you you need to aim differently.

Oh, and if a certain punch like a right hook isn't working as you get a counter too fast, then stop using it. You'll just get caught same again and again until you get KO'd, so if something doesn't work don't keep repeating it. The right hook is the winner for me, but it had to be a surprise when it lands, so part of a combo, beating them to the punch or as they drop guard.

Hope that helps. If your finding fights are longer as its in harder settings then find a rythem of jab, combo and move. Don't gas yourself too soon in a round and think about winning it on points first, only KO if that really opens up.

Urgh... just lost to that last blonde Bristol cunt on endurance mode. Lost 4 rounds out of 5. He is fast and moves his head so much, hard to hit. Long reach too, and when he unleashes a combo it's sustained.

Only downside to the whole boxing games as I'm developing a pain on my left ankle, specially the ball on inside. I swear its from motion of throwing right hooks and haymakers. Goes away over a few hours, but clearly I need to strengthen my ankles to cope with the boxing movement and punches.

Edit: its a pain that comes immediately after I finish the fight, general longer ones of 10 mins or more.

Went on thrill of the fight last night after a few drinks to lose some weight for an upcoming short break. I take it i got a bit carried away as i actually heard my muscle tear away from the bone and it wasn't a pleasant sound. Had to wipe my arse this morning with my left hand [emoji38]

Hope you get better soon! But yeah, playing boxing VR while drinking brings a lot of additional risks

I don't really have a decent gaming PC to hook into. Is the Quest 2 still worth it as a standalone device? And is the extra 100 for 128gb worth it? Can't you just delete stuff?

definitely still worth it, yeah. unless you're desperate to play Half Life: Alyx, there's no major benefit to having a PC alongside it. I wouldn't say the bigger hard drive is worth it personally, games are pretty small and it's easy to manage your library.
