Alright people need your help. I'm looking for a budget watch for everyday wear for work (up to £50) and a smart watch for going out/special occasions (up to £250). Anybody got an suggestions for good brands/websites I can pick up something good quality for a decent price.

Apologies if there is a thread for something like this, had a quick look before I started this. Feel free to merge if necessary  :)

I was told not to buy this watch by someone on here but I already got it and I love it.  Looks like old RAF type watch and I fookin' love it.  £250 or less.

Would consider a Tag Heur if I managed to become a drug dealer.

My current watch

They are not that expensive and are a good investment. Buy older models though.

I also own one of these but cannot find it.

Do you use all the different dials on it?

I didn't even know how to work the thing, I just liked it because of the advert I think. Its actually quite a big watch and quite heavy even though it doesn't look like a big watch when on. Its held onto its value well mind. I'm sure I paid 500 quid a few years back and its retailing for about 400 these days. Mine if I could find it is in mint condition too because I very rarely wore it. Same with the Tag. Hopefully I'll find it and trade that and the Tag in for a Rolex one day, get the price down a bit.

I fancy a proper f***ing clock on my arm, gonner have a look once i start work, be a bit selective.

I don't like these big fuck off watches myself. I prefer a more discreet type of watch.

By the way, it seems watches these days are very much like a pair of trainers or a shirt, people wear them as part of their wardrobe basically. My mate owns about 5 watches, one for work, one for wearing when out and about in general, one he calls his classy watch and even a lucky watch for the match  Own up, how many on here are like that?

Mind, I need a work watch myself.

I've never been a fan of watches tbh. I have however considered getting myself a TAG or so when I have enough money to do it.

Again, they are not as expensive as you would think. Not when you factor in the investment aspect of owning such a 'brand' watch. My mate is a jeweler and he always tells me invest your money in gold and or silver or if you are not too sure about that, buy a nice watch because when you're skint you can always get decent money for a decent watch.

If that was me I was joking about how whenever I ask for advice on here no-one replies but as soon as I have bought it a number of people will reply "that's shit", "oww, heard really bad things about that!", "you could have got this for half the price" etc..

Lovely timepiece. Similar to a TW Steel I've been eyeing up.
