I think we all agree that Pardew has grossly mismanaged him but it doesn't excuse him not acting like a professional footballer. He didn't look fit at all last season and as much as I complained about him not playing looking back now if he really wanted to play he'd have got himself fit. Seeing the pictures of him returning this season is an absolute joke - he's taking the biscuit and it's no surprise no one has bid for him. Or one that makes him look even bigger for that matter. The main thing is, can he play and are we a better team with him in it, we are. Pardew and the club want him out because he has only a year left on his contract and want money for him, and after some disgusting treatment and escape goating last season, it's more transparent that ever that's the aim. If he was really was interested in playing then he should have returned in tip top shape, surely he realises that if he is out of shape that no other team will want him aswell, not to mention him not getting a game for us.
