It's the festive period and no doubt some of you got some new DvDs any stand up comedy?

I bought Ricky Gervais last tuesday then got Ross Noble, Lee Evans and Jimmy Carr's new one's for Xmas. As well as watching Chubbs' King Thong.

Here's what i think :

Ricky Gervais- Funny guy, no particular style though. 7 out of 10

Jimmy Carr- Love his style enjoy his material. 7 out of 10

Ross Noble- I don't know wether i love him or hate him. The best at what he does. 6 out of 10

Lee Evans- Complainer, very similar to Jack Dee. Pick of the bunch. 9 out of 10

Roy 'Chubby' Brown- His new stuff isn't as good as his old but you either love him or hate him,i love him. 8 out of 10

Jack Dee- Keeps his place at no1 comedian.

Anyone have any favourites. Or anyone prefer the older generation.

What do ya think of Noble then?

I have both Sonic waffle and Un-real time. I cringe one minute then laugh my head off the next.

I was well impressed by Lee Evans' XL tour. I saw the live at Wembley one and that was good but his XL tour had me in histerics.

He was excellent at Newcastle like.  Had me in tears and stitches.  Just finished watching the DVD: had exactly the same result.

Graeme Souness..

Eh, not favourite, but have to say he is good. For all others than Newcastle fans.

Sorry for ruining this topic, I just couldn't resist the temptation.

I like everyone who has been mentioned so far, and add to those Rik Mayall, Adrian Edmondson, Bill Bailey (the master of the music + comedy combo) and Eddie Izzard.

Rik and Aide are legends, and Bill Bailey is a breath of fresh air.

Well done, i was expecting people to say the woeful "Little Britain".
