I never realised how much money you can make for organs, though.

:yao: You're a nice dude.

Your game is disney as fuck, people not wearing human vests and dogs that aren't wasted on coke.

I've watched that youtuber for a while, he's one of my favourites. Yeah that game was broken, giving his colonists the cannibal and psychopath traits made it even easier to cut people up. I never realised how much money you can make for organs, though.

I watch him sometimes - I did like that clip of him with the Ayr United player from his FM Let's Play .

 I've started my organ harvesting game, it's too easy so far even on an ice sheet. Every time the game gives me a new colonist I rip out just about every conceivable organ before they die, and my two permanent colonists just fuck the pain away. Got lucky that they coupled up but it's working a treat.

Haha yeah I've been watching that. Some of his expressions are proper cringe worthy, but he's one of the few genuinely likeable youtubers and his voice isn't super annoying either.

https://ludeon.com/blog/2017/04/new-content-is-in-progress-for-alpha-17/

  • Roads and rivers across the world (multiple categories of each).
  • Rivers across the world.
  • Redone enemy base generation.
  • Enemy AI overhauls. They’ll be harder to cheese in various ways and act more sensibly.
  • A new class of incidents that initiate quest opportunities on the world map. These are driven by a new combinatorial “site” system that allows us to create destinations to go to out of multiple “pieces”. This creates more variation than we would get if we just had single quest destinations. Now we can take any “site core” from a library, surround it with “site parts” from another library and the system will generate them all together. So, you could have a core that is a stash of gold, and add on “manhunter animals” and “abandoned turret line” around it, and the map generator will combine those. The number of possible combinations can get large quickly. This update will keep it pretty basic, but for future updates I hope to have larger site part libraries, which will create massive variation.
  • People can tend their own wounds now!
  • Tons and tons of rebalancing and detailed redesign to make skills matter more, make the economy more coherent and balanced, make animal farming for meat viable, make cannibalism a bit less ho-hum, make surgery not absurd, make room stats matter in a sensible way, make storyteller incidents more varied, and so on.

The evolution of this game has been amazing.

Had a playthrough of this. Absolutely hillarious the first time your colony collapses.

Pointless going through the whole story as people will have been through it countless times, but thinking "this is going great" one minute to sitting at the dining room table as the sole survivor eating the corpses of my friends was quite sobering.

"Wow, these assholes are actually getting shit done this time."

"Hmm, we're a bit low on food."

"What the FUCK."

 I dead ass feel like restarting the game when a snake or a boar goes wild. You can't start a game without at least one double digit shooter.

Fuck, I will not play this. Fuck off Rimworld. Fuck off...

it's as bad as civ at just wholesale swallowing time. Start a game at 9pm, next thing you know birds are chirping and light's coming in the window

Really an amazing game for something that's ostensibly still in Alpha.

edit: Alpha 17 patch notes for people without 20 minutes to kill on the video:

[emoji38] It's fucking impossible for a game like that to be wretched, ffs. It's like three things done repeatedly.  The farming is fun. The mining is tolerable, and the town bullshit is entertaining enough.

[emoji38] Wretched.

Stardew Valley is a good game like  it's not outstanding by any means, but it definitely scratches the Harvest Moon itch and is better than most games in that series since the Game Boy version tbh.

seems like a lot of solo work in Stardew. I like to set up the work systems and have the pawns try it out, validating/invalidating my theories as to what works. Rimworld is kind of a Space Banished w/guns for me. Sims/Cities Skyline as well. That's where I like my sims to go.

Stardew Valley doesn't quite seem to fit that mold.

That said, 'wretched' seems awful harsh. Sounds like they snuck some fiction in there somewhere :shifty:
