gbandit
Stupid thick cunts at Arsenal, giving Chelsea a ton of money for a player they’re desperate to shift who isn’t even going to be able to play in his best position for Arsenal
The Prophet
Madueke, Kudus, Elanga, Gittens all gone for circa £55 million. Mad market. Edited July 10, 2025 by The Prophet
The College Dropout
Arteta is so boring in the transfer market. I’ve grown to like Madueke ish. But he’s not going to raise their ceiling. That’s what they need.
toontownman
50m. Fucking delighted we weren't near him. Wasn't he mooted to come to us for nearer 30m last year? Madness inflation. Shame Forest are being gutted. Canny signings for Spurs though. Kudus and MGW are fantastic additions.
GeordieDazzler
Arsenal love buying questionable players from other big 6 teams mind. Jesus, Zinchenko, Havertz, Sterling on loan etc. Seems slightly odd to jump from one team where your not obvious first choice to another where it’s the same situation. toontownman
Think next year is going to be pretty wide open for the league. Lots of interesting signings all round. Just need to get the 4/5 players we need to keep up.
Ketsbaia
Suddenly not feeling so bad about the Elanga fee. And I really like Madueke but always thought he'd be available for £30-35m What does he even bring to Arsenal? Good music to the subs bench?

Chelsea have strengthened but will face similar problems that they have every season of integration. Man City should be way stronger but fuck knows what’s going on there. If Arsenal don’t get a quality striker they don’t have a chance at the league title. I think Liverpool will drop off this season, there’s no way Salah repeats his level from last season. Forest will massively drop off. Bournemouth might drop a little and I think Villa will drop a little too. Think it’s very hard to call but Man City, Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea are all on paper to finish top four with Spurs on paper around there too. We’re currently outside of that group unless we can make at least three more key signings and even then our squad depth is weaker than all those other teams

Geordie_once_removed
Weird one. First of all the fee seems £20 million over market value given that it's obvious Chelsea really need sell attacking players, especially the ones with a big PSR upside. Also while I like him as a player I don't see him starting for Arsenal or particularly improving them. Ultimately I'm ambivalent. It's good that Arsenal, a rival for Champions League and the Premier League (yeah, that's the pool I think we're swimming in now), look to be spending a load of money to not really improve. However, Chelsea are making a bunch of money and that fecks me off. That club cannot turn into one giant bin fire soon enough for me.
The College Dropout
If Elanga is £50m so is Madueke. PL clubs deciding to just gut the competition than go abroad. Apart from Liverpool and City.

Maddison is currently injured and generally injury-prone. Kulu’s injury was apparently very serious and he still might miss a few more months. 6 hours ago, Kimbo said: I think Frank gets them back competing for a top 6 place this season, then the following season competing for top 4. Ange was a clown. I hope so. He does have his work cut out though and I just can’t see us being able to maintain a strong challenge in both the PL and the CL. 6 hours ago, Bunk Moreland said: All done it seems, that was a quick one. Imagine the serotonin hit from a transfer going that quickly Christ yes. I’ll not get over-excited until it‘s confirmed - we’ve been gazumped a ton before - but I got home very late from work and only just found out. We didn’t have a clue. Business under Lange et al has been kept under wraps incredibly well for the most part. I’m not ashamed to admit I’m kinda buzzing. 6 hours ago, joeyt said: Solanke, Maddison, Richarlison, Son, Tel, Odobert,Kulusevski, Johnson, Kudus, Gibbs White That's a lot of money and wages on purples for attacking players As somebody else suggested, I fully expect Richarlison and Son to leave. Tel and Odobert (and arguably Johnson) are developmental players who I hope will start to make a serious impact in a couple of years. Hoping that Frank’s penchant for flexibility means they will all play a role this year. 5 hours ago, McCormick said: Ugh. Spurs actually gonna be good this season. Hate that the got Champions League after being so poor for most of the season. Still to be seen. Frank started very slowly at Brentford, and we were shite for much of last season. Can see the CL having a debilitating impact on the team but we’ll see. 5 hours ago, Tsunami said: MGW will seriously affect Maddison’s game time. I bloody well hope so.
