I always had him down as a great player, but speaking to my Forest supporting buddy… he doesn’t really care that he’s leaving. He’s just a bit upset that it’s to Spurs. His opinion, for what it’s worth, is that he goes missing A LOT. That opinion seems to be shared by quite a lot of Forest fans in the comments section of YouTube videos talking about this signing. We’ll see what they do with the funds they now have at their disposal to replace both him and Elanga, but I’d be very surprised if they come remotely close to repeating what they did last season. Depends who they can bring in losing two key attackers isn’t ideal, they were pretty good defensively last season and as far as I’m aware they haven’t lost any defenders yet. If they can make some good signings then no reason they can’t kick on and they’ve got Conference as a bit of a carrot to dangle, talent acquisition wise they’re doing something right. kingxlnc Posted July 11, 2025 Share Posted July 11, 2025 Their recrutiment is usually good so I think they'll be fine Bakayoko for Elanga seems a decent replacement for where they are Think Igor Jesus will be good, and good backup to Wood MGW was their captain and central to what they do so will be a big miss. They also tend to buy quite ambitously too. The best CAM in dutch, portuguese or french league perhaps. Nkunku wouldn't be a bad shout for them. I never used to think that, even with all that was associated with Abramovich etc. But in this day and age I think they're just utter poison.
