Mazzy
Is that Brentfords first signing under Keith Andrews? If so, that has to go down as the worst first signing by a manger ever? TWO years is nuts!

I never used to think that, even with all that was associated with Abramovich etc. But in this day and age I think they're just utter poison. Hope at least one of Delap or Pedro have an absolutely miserable career with them. Agreed. Tbh under Abramovic they were extremely impressive, he really did build them into an elite club. Even though they did win some late 90's Euro silverware, and had some good players, they were an average top 8-10 team, with the odd venture into top 6. He built an absolute force with sheer brute force but also very good decisions for the most part, even if he had to pay over the odds. The current Chelsea are an absolute joke. You can have too much of a good thing, the dopamine of a new signing is probably non-existent over there, just another shrug and ok. In time, the sheer potential of the players they are signing could lead them to haivng good seasons but there's nothing 'elite' about the way they operate any more. Liverpool and Man City are another kettle of fish entirely.
BennyBlanco
So rape is acceptable but inconsistent footballing ability is where they draw the line. Probably the most unaware set of fans since the scousers.

If I had to identify one moment that most disillusioned me or has done most to make me want to walk away from the sport I would probably ultimately come back to that. We exited the chat under Ashley so I guess were kinda immune to how annoying Chelsea's money was. But I completely get it now and its not even him anymore. There's an argument that Abramovich going to Chelsea was the most influential/impactful thing that's ever happened in football. Formation of the Premier League probably the only thing that tops it. Alternative humorous response: you're just gutted he chose not to buy Spurs!

Kimbo
Brentford are in massive trouble this season, surely Phil Giles isn’t the one appointing Keith Andrews and signing Henderson? Edited July 11, 2025 by Kimbo
