Your right but to be fair. We seem to go out of our way not to take advantage of any loopholes or maximise revenue.

Liverpool going to absolutely walk the league next season like, even moreso than last season. None of the teams around then have improved much at all, Chelsea may be the exception but not enough to mount a serious title challenge, Arsenal have slightly, and City are completely finished. Won't even mention us. Whilst Liverpool have improved massively, signings they've made and getting rid of Trent, much stronger than last season. Sickening.

As someone who hasn't watched in years but thinking of watching next season. Why do people assume City won't contend? They bought a lot of players since January no?

This isn't the first time I've seen comments of them being dismissed. Feels like they should in theory be a lot better now no?

The game across Europe is in a shocking state. The German, French, and Spanish leagues are finished, they’re dead leagues. Serie A seems more competitive but it’s mainly because it’s a chaotic shitshow.

As long as the brand clubs are pulling in the money though the authorities will think all is well.

Their current wingers have still not managed to replace the production they had previously with Sterling and Mahrez at their best.

And then they have now also lost Kevin DeBruyne who continued to be their most likely threat at unlocking teams last season, even though he was pretty much done. Far from certain Cherki comes in and can carry the creative responsibility DeBruyne previously did.

Also opposition teams fear them far less now, and have gotten used to defending deep against them and countering them very effectively, and they have been struggling more and more to stop those counter attacks.

I see, thanks for the explanation. Any chance they'll be able to share that responsibility? Or just not possible with their current team?

I guess struggling to stop the counter attacks falls on the coaching staff a lot, I'd assume tactically there's a flaw somewhere if that keeps happening.

Ideally it would be shared, but the wingers they have don't seem to be up to it so far to the level they need.

Unless Cherki and to some degree Reijnders really come in and are outstanding, I'm not sure who is going to open teams up for them.

As far as stopping the counter attacks goes, it was an issue all of last season and they never figured it out. Even recently in the club world cup they were still struggling. Al Hilal knocked them out by continuing to exploit them the same way. I guess Rodri coming back should help, but it's not good that they are so reliant on him in that regard.

Pep as great as he is, also seems to be incredibly one dimensional in his approach. Never really seemed to figure out a different way of doing things to help solve the problems they were having, particularly defensively.

Is that a decent source?!

This could lead to the most monumental meltdown in footballing history amongst Arsenal fans.

Surely, it's a ruse to get Arsenal to fix up and tie their deal up with him?!
