And probably 10 Chelsea players. Bailed Villa out a couple of times also. I get that their league is the highest priority, but its a gift to our rivals. I think it’s more that it’s such a big investment fund that the things aren’t even connected. One part of PIF is funding the Saudi league, and the managers of that are trying to get players in. Another part is funding us and the managers of us (when we get some) are tasked with making us as good as possible. As much as I’d like the entire PIF to have a joined up strategy with NUFC at the centre, I’m not sure it’s realistic.

Wouldn't even need to be that, just one with enough joined up thinking so that there's little to no cannibalisation. Them bankrolling our rivals is a serious problem for us. Pata
The price PIF paid for us is about 0.0333% of all of their assets, 1 part out of 3000 to make it easier to understand. We are a miniscule part of their portfolio. Doesn't mean they don't want us to do well but they won't make any decisions based on what's best for NUFC. Sibierski
He seemed to have a bit of spark about him last season before he got injured. Could be one to watch this season in championship and a low cost, good potential RW signing if he recovers well.

Move him on for massive money and just go again It's actually double fold as first of all they can take the financial hit of a doggy big transfer, but secondly as a player was perceived as being good enough for Liverpool this comes with a certain prestige which bumps their sell on fee no matter how they actually perform. There always seems to be a few players in the Championship that can make the step up before improving again. Feel like we're just never anywhere near them. Adam Lallana was linked when he was playing in League One, Lewis Dunk was linked forever, Trafford, Dele Alli etc for what they would cost, JFDI. Like this lad from Coventry, he looks better than Willock, just do it, upgrade. Got to be others out there that we can jump on rather than waiting to nab them a year later from Brighton, Brentford etc
