That's not stacked mate, we are 13th I believe in squad numbers. So way off top spot. Chelsea, unsurprisingly have that trophy. Bear in mind Gundo and Akanji will likely leave before the transfer window ends. Bernardo is in the last year of his contract, as is Stones. Likely Nunes won't be with us another season after this one. Kovacic the same. 

 

I was reading that we use the least amount of players, rather than have the smallest squad. That's on Pep though - for me personally I'd rather he used the kids a bit more, but who am I to question the guy that's won us everything.

Let's swap then.

 

The squad as it is today - is stacked. I didn't include Savinho, Rico Lewis, Ederson or any of the kids i'm less familiar with. A number of which will be good PL players already as we've seen.

 

Like I said - Pep likes to focus on a core of players. If he wants to play Bilva at LB before playing Khusanov at CB, that's on him like you say. It doesn't make the squad any less stacked. Look at the midfield options, look at the forward line. You have 6 fucking Centrebacks. 7 forwards for 3-4 positions.

• Missed end of Nov to mid Jan with Hamstring + Fitness issues

• 14 goals, 9 assists 
• Missed Jan to end of March with abductor injury

 

Think the issue is health, and very poor form in calendar year 2025. He's done his cruciate twice too.

Why are you trying to sign Donnarumma right after spending £30m on Trafford? I know you didn't sign Trafford exclusively because you didn't want Newcastle to have him, but you signed him because would have slipped away from you as an option if you didn't do it then. The moment a better goalie came along you wanted him instead.

 

The lack of restrictions for certain teams enabkes them to buy several expensive young players "just in case", without being sure of whether they are actually going to utilize them. Like Chelsea when they've bought 10-15 players in a window, and several end up as squad players.

He's a good signing on paper, depends if his head is in the game now though as all I've heard about his time at Juventus, was it being a complete mess.

 

Don't think he gets into their best XI anyway, but he should ensure the squad can be rotated in Europe. Forest going about it the right way, but can see them needing to sell end of season because of PSR and all that (wages to turnover be a driver). Likely know MGW is a easy £65m sale though so can roll with the ambition this summer.
