No matter who they are, it seems the starting price for any of the top 6's youth players is north of £25m.

Crazy stuff.

James McAtee another example of this. Signed for Forest in the summer and barely pulled up any trees

+1 for I can’t believe we’re not in for Bobb at that price.

Given it seems one of our main wingers could be moved on in the summer. Also we’ve shown interest in him before.

Bobb for £35m seems way too good for only Fulham to want it. Unless there’s more that makes the deal unpalatable.

He’s exactly the technical type of midfielder/wide player that would take us up a level.

Funny some people think it’s cheap some think it’s too much. I guess it’s a fair fee.

Bobb hasn’t shown much in a couple years. So for me it’s steep.

Palmer had at least been good whenever he played.

I would be on Nwaneri on loan with an option to buy. Even if it was a fancy buy back deal. Option for £30m buyback for £60m.

A lot of these City players are overhyped - people wanted McAtee here and he's done nothing at Forest

Nuno didn’t want him and he’s so far from a Dyche player :D

What happens when DoF gets signing for a certain way and doesn’t align with manager.

Bobb won’t be first choice at Fulham, so not sure he will get serious games he needs at his age. Bit of a strange move, but when it’s priced at that, his quite limited in his options. Can’t see him progressing unfortunately.

Man City got value, like many of their youth sales, but if they kept hold of many they would be no worse off IMO. They sell them, and spend loads on average players to replace.

MLS will be someone who leaves Arsenal next summer. Not good enough for LB, but he’s a very interesting profile for a CM. Would need training more in that role, but think he would be a seriously good pick up if someone was ready to spend 12-24 months moulding him into that role.

Concerns about his fitness driving down the price. If he is available on a loan with option to buy in the summer we'd be stupid not to throw our hat in the ring.

Nothing says being a cuck for bigger teams than agreeing to a buy back clause

After the Isak saga best to do it in the open.

Imagine the fume if he was great and we only got £60mil for him from a rival

You seem a bit obsessed with buy back clauses but I'm not convinced you really know how they work.

Feels like you've seen Real Madrid do it and assume everyone else should

Nwaneri is a highly regarded talent and Arsenal won't sell him - at least not for a sensible price. So rather than pay over the odds now, we can get him for a fair fee and can cash in on developing him if he's good.

We don't seem interested in paying a premium on potential as we did for Hall. We spent £33m on a 19-yo left back with 12 first-team appearances, think Nwaneri with no buyback would cost £45m+.

Why should we develop him to only get £60mil for him? Elanga was a similar fee

I'd rather we paid more and not be held to ransom by one of our rivals than just accept that we're developing a player for one of the so called bigger clubs.

It's a no win situation

Most fans would decry signing an 18-yo for £50m who would likely sit on the bench a fair amount in the first 12 months. They did the same for Hall.

That's how much I think it would take to get Nwaneri from Arsenal at this time.

You're avoiding the outcry of selling him for just £60mil to a rival in a few years time if he's any good
