Only 18 months left on his contract, but why would a) Brighton sell a starting midfielder to Forest that cheap and b) why would Ayari make such a step down at 22? Would hope that Forest would have to double that bid to get anywhere near Brightons valuation.

How the fuck have Villa been able to offload that Guessand - who's barely played - for almost £30 million

Your Guess is as good as mine.

I don't understand why people are bidding so high for him

An even bigger mystery why Wolves aren't biting people's hands off when receiving said bids.

I'm trying to think of an equivalent striker from the old Barclays days.

He's like a modern day Yohan Elmander.

Crikey with the dearth of classic centre forwards these days how much would the likes of a Yakubu, Viduka or a Hasselbaink etc. go for these days if they were playing in this era with the same shortfall of strikers. They would be getting rated way beyond what they were back in the old days.

People are willing to pay £60m for Strand Larsen when Shearer cost £15m. Madness.

This one-goal Strand Larsen stuff is a bit weird like. It was only 6 months ago he was being linked away for £20m more than he is now. Don't think he's a worldbeater but he seemed to have his head turned in the summer and has not been the same since.

Same reason Palace would t accept our much bigger Guehi bid....their Red paymasters wouldnt allow it. Christ what if it actually made the league more competitive? They might miss out on Euro money at the expense of those Northern upstarts

One season wonder.

I don't buy this. Watching him play last season he has really good instincts. With the right manager/coaching I think he'll be really good. It's not like any strikers are pulling up trees this year now that "long throw" is the best tactic to score goals.

Sterling has gone from Chelsea. Wonder what he got to terminate his contract. No chance Id be giving up 325K per week for the next 18 months when I've been finished at the top level for a while.

Knowing Chelsea owners atm..

"Would you accept £324k a week to terminate early?"

He's played 6-700 professional games, including a straight decade of 50 games a season. He'll be cooked, and has barely played in two seasons now.

Someone will take him of course. It's got Fulham, Tottenham or West Ham written all over it.

Gotta say, if Bobb is so star spangled awesome, why’s he playing for Fulham.

Yeah fair point, obviously he hasn't shown extensive periods of PL performance or anything. Just think he looks excellent technically and moves very well with the ball, probably good against low blocks etc.

Will be interesting to see how he does.

Also Man City probably have loads of crushing clauses in the deal which might put off other clubs.

Bobb is just another City young player that might work out and might not.

McAtee went to Forest for 24m and has barely played. Southampton spent 20m on Harwood-Bellis and hes currently playing in the Championship. For every Cole Palmer or Liam Delap there's an Ihenacho.

Players who have played a handful of games at teams like City and are deemed surplus to requirements are always a risk.
