Villa seemed to have been bailed out multiple times by Saudi teams for players that are not the usual high profile Saudi signings. So when we get criticised for not working the market as well as Villa we have to remember they got like £55m for Diaby after a mediocre first season at Villa and £70m odd for Duran who had about 6 months good form and was a relative nobody when you think of the types Saudi has been spending money on previously.
