The most unrealistic part of this is Jack Wilshere remained pretty injury free, suffering just a cold and a tight hamstring. [emoji38]

A cold in Greece is particularly amusing - as are your foreign signings

Tycoon Boss wanted HIGH PROFILE SIGNINGS. That was the best I could do, washed up Premier League players from 10 years ago. I renamed the Brazilian Hericlis to Heracles, because Greek fuck you. He's not even strong.

I've said it earlier in the thread but I'm sure they've upped the chances of mental scorelines popping up in this version.

Not just for your team either. Feels like every time I look at the Prem results page there's at least half that rounds games getting at least 6 goals.

Brennan Johnson is an absolute machine on this. In addition to the below he's just scored 2 against Bayern Munich and put in a MotM performance as a right winger (attack).

Binged some CM 97/98 with Nottingham Forest a few weeks back. Took me 3 seasons to gain promotion, but players had developed so much in the last championship season that I won the PL first season up and then the CL season after. Star man throughout all 5 seasons were Maxime Poisson, a striker from Le Mans bought for £250k. Never heard of him before, and not the usual CM9798 suspect everyone buys which was cool.

Now I've moved on to CM 01/02. Trying to promote Napoli from Serie B. Difficult to avoid some of the usual suspects like a free 27 year old Taribo West and £8k To Madeira

So much fun compared to the extreme micro management FM is today.

You can set your staff responsibilities so you barely do anything.

I have control of contracts and transfers and delegate everything else.

I dont even go to press conferences [emoji38]

I know, and maybe I'm wrong, but I feel like if you delegate that and neglect press conferences etc, that affects morale and effectiveness of training, and you'll never get the best out of your team?

At the minute Im struggling with ASM wanting a new contract.

He wants to be a star player with a guarantee of being played in his favoured position, that we'll win a domestic cup and some other crap.

I want him as an important player but hes not having it. Been ongoing for over a year :cheesy:

In 2005 with Napoli. I've managed two second place finishes in Serie A, reached QF & SF in CL but always get absolutely blasted by Roma who is unstoppable, winning Serie A & CL two years in a row.

Current team (used in top half Serie A matches & Champions League):

---------------------------Sebastien Frey-----------------------

Michael Lamey--Issac Okoronkwo--Tieme Klompe--Ashley Cole

---------------------------Assane N'Diaye----------------------

------Julius Aghahowa--Rafael Van Der Vaart--Alex-------------

----------------------------Pablo Aimar-------------------------

---------------------------Cherno Samba-----------------------

Team used in lower half Serie A matches & Italian cup:

---------------------------Dionisis Chiotis-------------------------

Daniele Bonera---Phillipe Mexes---Taribo West---Stelios Venetidis

---------------------------Nicolas Medina-------------------------

------------Matteo Brighi--Kim Källstrøm--Abgar Barsom---------

-----------------------Tonton Zola Mokouko----------------------

--------------------------------Mido------------------------------

Also got Maxim Tsigalko, To Madeira and Fredrik Risp available but struggling to find game time for them.

2005/06 will be Napolis year I can feel it!

I'm going to try a new save soon as I win Serie A & Champions League with Napoli to have a full Swedish team. Haven't decided which league to play in yet, but has to be a team that can lure most Swedes without having problems with club reputation

GK: Andreas Isaksson

CB: Teddy Lucic, Fredrik Risp, Granqvist

FB: ??

CM/AMC/FC: Källstrøm, Elmander, Lunden, Selakovic, Bakircioglu, Barsom, Moukoko

Currently playing on original data base. After the swedish save I'll have a go at a full Greek team with the .68 (the update with Skalidis) update before I park the game for a few years until the nostalgia hits me again:

Olof Mellberg too young/shit?

This is his profile in 2005:

Both Lucic & Risp have better stats than him within a season, but he'd be a nice back-up if I can get him on a bosman at a later stage.
