The term “gammon”, really was invented for them. I’m Not just talking politically with Brexit and all that, it’s so weird how they all have that pinkish red face. Pretty much all of them over the age of 35, it’s like they’re trying to match the colour of their face to their seats.

They seem to be getting very excited about the fact they've signed a spurs kid who doesn't even seem to have a Wikipedia page.

Can’t see any reports of a sell on fee, so looks like he’s not that highly rated by Tottenham, otherwise they (especially Levy) would have insisted on one. Also looks like no championship teams interested either.

Yeah you'd think they'd at least have looked to get him out on loan for a year at that age if he had anything about him. Might still be a decent third tier full back i suppose, but the excitement over it is very strange.

Saw their highlights on Lewk North with ‘Dawnie’ and it’s fair to say the best fans ever to be seen didn’t fancy the trip down to Port Vale.

From RTG

Dennis Cirkin is a 19 year old left back who is highly rated across European youth football, you will find allusions of his quality referencing a dominant performance against Barcelona's Ansu Fati or comments from Jose Mourinho about his potential (he put him on the Spurs bench 5 times). An England youth international, It was rumoured Mourinho had Spurs prepare a new long-term contract for the lad at the end of 2020, just before Cirkin's dad passed away, RIP. The contract went on the back burner and the lad took some time away from training, understandably to sort a few things out.

When he returned he finished up the season in good form but with some question marks over how settled he was. A new contract was offered this summer, with the player entering his final season on the current deal, but the player turned it down for unknown reasons. Some suggestions are that he wants to play first team football and there are a number of left back options currently ahead of him, some suggestions are he wants a change of scenery from London in order to move forward with his life and career.

It is worth mentioning that Danny Rose (massive lads fan) recently left Spurs to sign for Watford on a free transfer, but he did spend the bulk of last season training with the u23s in a sort of mentor role. I've no doubt the club would have been given a glowing reference by Danny should Dennis have asked him about us. Additionally, it does appear that Lee Johnson has cultivated a bit of a reputation for aiding the development of younger talent, I think when you combine all of these factors you end up with the club somehow punching way above its weight in terms of landing a big transfer like this.

Also, there’s obviously something highly questionable in either his personality or his game, as there just isn’t way a kid rated this high would go to league 1 at 19 permanently.  Other clubs would know about him, and clearly they passed him up

he got a reference man
