Army of The Dead.

Don't know what to think of that...

I'll probably give it a watch at some point, but not a fan of the 'fast' zombies, and certainly not the 'intelligent' zombies.

Wasn't a fan of Snyders' take on Dawn of the Dead, either.

Always preferred and was more scared of the Romero type zombies and the old films.

Set aside 2 and a half hours then.

I actually quite like the DOTD remake - theres a bleakness to it that most horror films, never mind zombie films, fail to show.

Army of the Dead looks like a hangover film to me, one where I would be quite happy to have a nap in the middle of.

Dawn of the Dead is by far Znyders best film IMO. It's the only one I'd say is good, the rest vary from utter shite to poor.

Really regretted wathing Army of the Dead. Such a waste of time.

Spoiler

Not particularly funny or scary, mediocre action - and fast-forwarded through the bits that were supposed to have an emotional pull.

Would have been some kind of redemption if they were able to explain why the Zombie King was satisfied with his own kingdom - as the smart ones easily could have scaled the walls.

I thought it was OK.

Not sure what the fuss is all about over Snyder,

And also why when they left the Zombie King at the Casino they were scamming, did he somehow manage to get back to his HQ where the guys in the helicopter went, before them? On a zombie horse?

Only thing I enjoy about Army of the Dead is them having to spend upwards to $5 Million digitally replacing Chris D'Elias character with Tig Notaro.

Her character was pretty irritating but fair play as I didn’t realise she had been added after filming. Apparently Bautista has yet to meet her :)

I'm watching it now. It's boring as fuck. None of the characters have any screen presence.

I love Bautista in Blade Runner 2049 and the Marvel stuff. But he's flat in this, like the rest of them.

Got to be down to the director.

Ended up rewatching the Big Sick rather intensely when I'd only put it on as a comfy background watch while I did some work.

I really love this film. Kazan and Nunjiani have such great onscreen chemistry.

Good recommendation 👍 watched last night and really enjoyed

Army of the Dead.

Should have been much better. Spent a lot of time building up to nothing in particular. Bar some pretty fun action scenes, the story and plot just seemed cobbled together. The film was 2 and a half hours long. Yet never really elaborated on anything or explorer some of the more interesting themes. It seemed like some half decent actors were totally wasted. Humour was hit and miss. Soundtrack was boss, though.

Didn’t dislike it. Just a bit underwhelming. Probably like a 6 or something.
