I’ll not stand for having a bad word said against Dwayne Johnson. Dude makes entertainment for the masses. Are they mostly brainless hokum? Absolutely! He knows his limitations and doesn’t pretend that he’s some amazing actor.

As for the FAST movies, that franchise was ready to die out until FAST 5 when guess who showed up to save the day. Mr Franchise Viagra himself.

The Raid or Dredd. Hardcore Henry or Upgrade. Train to Busan, Mad Max: FR, Taken.

Just off the top of my head. There's probably loads more but they don't benefit from 30 years worth of nostalgia and pop culture referencing.

No doubt in 20 years time people in their 30s will be probably hold the same level of reverence for all the copy/paste adventures of Liam Neeson that we do for Arnie.

People will be fuming that you didn't mention John Wick

Watched The Dry last night.

Film adaptation of the book by Jane Harper. Decent enough. Eric Bana in lead as Aaron Faulk.

Managed to capture the mood of the book quite well. Some minor plot tweaks, but nowt major to ruin it.

Would recommend and if you haven't read the book, or any of her others I would also recommend.

Had no idea they'd made a movie of that. Nice one.

Suicide Squad.

What a turd.

Has the pitch meeting ripped it to shreds yet?

Did you watch the wrong one? The new one is an absolute blast and has been met with universal critical acclaim. it's so much fun.

The Goonies. What a classic. Really good fun. Anne Ramsey as Mama Fratelli is so great, it's a proper shame that she got throat cancer during filming and died a few years later, she was a powerhouse.

The Woman in the Window. Really didn't enjoy this, what a whole load of nothing. Seemed like a bit of a retread of The Girl on the Train which also wasn't great, as well as Rear Window.

Ghost World. Enjoyed this one, some great dialogue and performances. I can see why it's considered a cult classic.

Jungle Cruise.

Standard Dwayne Johnson fare. Will probably entertain kids, did bugger all for me.

I can’t believe that fucking cunt Jack Whitehall managed to get a gig in that film. Needs his fucking head kicked in.

I didn't think it was THAT bad but I do struggle to see what reviewers saw in it. Way better than the 2016 abomination but that's a low bar.

It was incredible. Its a superhero film about the suicide squad fighting Starro. What could it have done better?
