I want to store a link to a site on my pc, but my kids use the pc and I DO NOT want them to find it. Can i store it somewhere and lock it so they cant get access to it? If so how do I do this??

i think you can put it in your briefcase and have a password on it

 

Dont ask, you are too young! What breifcase im dumb you know!

 

As you cant help paddy, I have windows xp...no breifcase so what do i do?

If you have a seperate user account from your son you can do it like this:

 

Make a new folder (Right click, select "new" then "folder")

 

Give it a name.

 

Right click the folder, select "properties", choose the "sharing" tab, put a tick in the box next to "make this folder private".

 

Now only someone logged in as you can open the folder.
