He is Putin lite. He won't leave. He'll try and change the laws at some point so he can stay in power indefinitely.

Hopefully by then someone has offed him.

so weird you get all those leaks through the press about how skint he is though and he could be making more writing bollocks for his mates paper, well fuck off and do it then

What in holy hell would actually make Boris resign ?

I can’t ever see him resigning but surely his role as useful idiot to the Tories is well and truly over.

On one hand I hope he stays and drives the rest of the cretinous bunch into the rocks, but we badly need change now and every month they stay in charge is probably worth years of damage to the country.

He has got about 10 kids to support which isn’t easy with all these price increases :pilko:

Officially its 8 yet Johnson admits to 7 - but hes been throwing it about so often and for so long, along with miscarriages and abortions, that there has to be more kids . From wiki

Quote

In 1987, Johnson married Allegra Mostyn-Owen, daughter of the art historian William Mostyn-Owen and Italian writer Gaia Servadio.[793] The couple's marriage ended in divorce or annulment in 1993[f] and 12 days later Johnson married Marina Wheeler, a barrister, daughter of journalist and broadcaster Charles Wheeler.[797] Five weeks later, Wheeler and Johnson's first child was born.[798][799] The Wheeler and Johnson families have known each other for decades,[800] and Marina Wheeler was at the European School, Brussels, at the same time as her future husband. They have four children: Lara Lettice, Milo Arthur, Cassia Peaches, and Theodore Apollo.[801] 4

Between 2000 and 2004, Johnson had an affair with Spectator columnist Petronella Wyatt when he was its editor, resulting in a terminated pregnancy and a miscarriage.[181] In April 2006, the News of the World alleged that Johnson was having an affair with Guardian journalist Anna Fazackerley. The pair did not comment and shortly afterwards Johnson employed Fazackerley.[192][193]

In 2009, Johnson fathered a daughter with Helen Macintyre 5, an arts consultant. In 2013, the Court of Appeal discharged an injunction banning reporting of his daughter's existence. The judge ruled the public had a right to know about Johnson's "reckless" behaviour.[230][802][803] There had been speculation that he may have had another child from an extramarital affair due to an appeal court judge stating in 2013, "the father's infidelities resulted in the conception of children on two occasions".[804] 6

In September 2021, after years of obfuscation, Johnson stated that he had six children, thereby denying the existence of any further illegitimate children.[805]

In September 2018, Johnson and Wheeler issued a statement confirming that after 25 years of marriage they had separated "several months ago", and had begun divorce proceedings.[806] They reached a financial settlement in February 2020,[807] and the divorce was finalised by November 2020.[808]

In October 2020, Jennifer Arcuri, asked whether her 'friendship' with Johnson was in fact an affair, said "I think that goes without saying ... But I'm not going to talk about it."[809] In March 2021, she went into more detail about the alleged affair in an interview with the Sunday Mirror, saying it lasted from 2012 to 2016.[810][811]

In 2019, Johnson was living with Carrie Symonds, the daughter of Matthew Symonds, co-founder of The Independent newspaper. Symonds had worked for the Conservative party since 2009 and worked on Johnson's 2012 campaign to be re-elected as mayor.[812] On 29 February 2020, Johnson and Symonds announced they had become engaged in late 2019, and that Symonds was expecting a baby in early summer.[813] Their son, Wilfred Lawrie Nicholas Johnson,[814] was born on 29 April 2020 at University College Hospital in London.[815][816] 7

On 29 May 2021, Johnson married Symonds in a secret ceremony at Westminster Cathedral attended by 30 guests,[783][817] becoming the first prime minister to marry in office since Lord Liverpool married Mary Chester in 1822.[818] On 31 July 2021, it was announced that they were expecting their second child together after Carrie suffered a miscarriage earlier that year.[819] Their daughter, Romy Iris Charlotte Johnson,[820] was born on 9 December 2021 at an NHS London hospital.[821] 8

Dunno what it is about Kenneth Clarke, but I often find his 'good Tory' thing even more twisted and perverted than the pure, uncut evil of the likes of Priti Patel. Same sort of feeling I get about that freak Warren Buffett.

Like they want to be awful, back awful people, and take the party line, but want people to think they're nice and cuddly at the same time.

Follow on...Hopefully this is another nail in any already dwindling 'good Tory' thinking.

Yeah, I mean I think people like Clarke are decent (on the Tory spectrum), but they obviously have some ideologies that I find abhorrent and they can't ever seem to depart from them.

there are no good tories

Of course not, but there are plenty who give Ken Clarke the time of day along with the likes of Rory Stewart, Ruth Davidson, and David Davis, and did the same with Rishi Sunak during Covid. They're all ghouls, without exception, and it's crazy how often folk fall for a bit of oration.

EDIT: In fact it's how they got into power in the first place. Cameron lying about being a modern family man who cared, and the whole hug a hoodie nonsense.

She should be put in a home tbh. Preferably a home in special measures where residents are left to sit in their own shit for a week.

Rory Stewart is a really decent bloke, probably the best of the lot. Don't get any sense that he's putting it on at all.

Think he's in Jordan doing charity work at the moment.

Rory talks well and seems an OK guy for a Tory.

Similarly found Ken Clarke and Dominic Grieve seemed more moderate or sensible Tories. Nearly said compassionate, but it's pretty much impossible to use that word for these people

I do enjoy watching the liberal’s never ending hunt for a good Tory.

MP appears. Does or says something that isn’t immediately objectionable. Several months of frothy media and social media coverage commences, ignoring voting history, previous comments etc. MP finally rips off mask and demonstrates he’s a grasping, nasty sociopath by doing something totally in keeping with everything we know about Tories. Ian Dunt calls them a fuckstick on Twitter. Denounced by their former liberal allies. And repeat.

It’s like pretending to chuck a ball for your dog. No matter how many times you do it they’ll never learn.

But you would agree that sportswashing exists, yeah? Do you really see any difference? Consider his voting record and past that completely contradict any notion of being decent or charitable.

Just an observation on the back of all this Good Tory discourse. No end of amusement watching the self appointed ‘adults in the room’ get fooled repeatedly by Tories acting like Tories. You know the ones - cunts with phone-in shows and columns.

OK, it felt like your were assuming and referencing people in this thread at first.

Good Tory is a misnomer, because they're all still members of the Conservative party and share their core values.  They're just not at the Priti Patel evil end of the spectrum.
