Kid Icarus
Good to see that Labour are ready to take advantage of the situation with some bold...oh Not a big fan of Owen Jones, but am a big fan of people coming to this realisation. Either the electorate have to shift their views or the parties must find the right policy mix. And of course we need electoral reform so that HoP represents actual views of the country and not a bland balance of two triple-distilled versions. The Tories and the right completely grasp the concept of the political spectrum being something that shifts and it being something they can shift. If you're in a position where you're only pandering to that spectrum, and offering a lighter version of what the other side is, while the other side keep moving the overton window further to the right, what do you think is going to happen? Kid Icarus
Labour apparently ruling out going back into the single market/freedom of movement today. Some FBPErs understandably pissed off, many going with more of a 'it's all part of the plan' angle.

Lazarus
34 minutes ago, BlueStar said: They mustn't have got the memo That article is sensational. Completely absurd statement on BJ Johnson demonstrating statesmanship, complete denial over the last decade of tory rule, complete denial over the impact of brexit, complete denial of the state of the police and justice system due to underfunding, a lack of awareness over how the 'migration crisis' actually benefits the tories, a weird statement that says tory MP's should forget about the infighting when Boris has either directly caused them or made them worse, Then theres the fucking bizarre statement about an alliance of chaos between labour and the lib-dems that seems to ignore the last alliance of chaos between the tories and the lib-dems, the fucking obscene statement about victims of gambling when tory MP's were praising betting firms last year and accepting party donations and that final paragraph - were do you start unpacking that amount of bullshit? Fantail Breeze
Boris Johnson was made aware of a formal complaint about Chris Pincher's "inappropriate behaviour" while Mr Pincher was a Foreign Office minister from 2019-20, the BBC News can reveal. It triggered a disciplinary process that confirmed the MP's misconduct. The BBC understands the PM and the foreign secretary at the time - Dominic Raab - knew about the issue. The complaint raises fresh questions about what the PM knew before appointing the MP deputy chief whip. On Monday evening, No 10 reiterated that the prime minister was not aware of any "specific allegations" being looked at, and that in the "absence of a formal complaint it would not be appropriate to stop the appointment". Boris doing that thing again where he opens his mouth and lies come out.

Big Geordie
When The Mail and Murdoch turn on Johnson, you know his time will be up. However, they seem to want the cult/cunt to continue for the time being. He is still the establishment's 'man'.
Super Duper Branko Strupar
He's the face of Brexit as dictated by the right of the party, Johnson goes and brexit moves on. I'm not sure theyve figured out who to carry the baton and be able to keep it as more of a feeling than anything of content or policy. The next person that comes in will inevitably expected to move it on by the public, I get the sense the brexiteers arent ready for that. If they ever will. madras
Rees Mogg hilariously bad on Newsnight. Gets called out on the lie about the vaccine roll out couldn't have happened had we been in the EU and ends up trying to defend we couldn't have done it because we'd have lacked the confidence to do it. He may as well look at the camera and say " I'll speak in a calm authoritarian voice and many of you will still being any fecal matter that leaves my mouth"

I don't know where you start, but the power of rich media moguls is terrifying. They control so much sway in political discourse and societal thinking. They have their man which protects their interests, so they will print anything to keep him there. Up is down shit.
