Various: N-O has lost the plot over potential end of Mike Ashley's tenure

Wouldn't be overly concerned yet. It's one person, and Samuel of all people, against dozens saying the opposite. He says there's only one source, but most outlets have mentioned multiple sources close to the deal.

We've been here before, so it could obviously be true, but we'll see

The worry is that he could be well connected.

Via his tongue, probably.

Read the article. He has said that Ashley’s camp has stayed silent on the situation. He has not said that there is no price been agreed. He has written that as a sub title which is clearly a conclusion he has made via his failure to understand how business works, as displayed in the article. He even mentions that the only words to come out is that a deal has been agreed, his thought process is a complete contradictions of the evidence out there, the evidence in his article, and the evidence his work colleagues are all writing.

He’s done this as one last parting shot. He knows he’s not getting his interview with Ashley now, and all those years of sucking up to him has resulted in 1 half of a page pre-written interview.

In a way he has a point though.. still yet to see anything concrete regarding Pif

NCUK Investment Limited is enough to convince me, the date it was registered is the same as all of those linked with the takeover. The director is literally the governor of PIF / Aramco & it was literally updated at the same time as the others to include an accountant, who specialises in investments & following / obeying foreign laws for the extremely wealthy. It's on man, its fucking on.

He needs to look at the documents on Companies House for a start which certainly wouldn’t be there now if a fee had not been agreed and signed by representatives of both parties also. As for PIF you should read the summaries from that Lawyer lass who goes through it very well. There is also the updating of documents by the PIF company NCUK and the appointment of a director at the same time which again demonstrates they are setting their side of the deal also. So basically he makes no point whatsoever and states a line saying a deal has not been agreed whilst not giving one thing in his article to demonstrate this and obviously failing to take notice of the available documentation.

Exactly, all this is what I’m trying to say to the bedwetters on Twitter.

I think the Samuel article just looks like a bitter Ashley's last throw of the dice. Nobody else is coming, this is all you've got. You fucking cunt.

It’s not even that.

People are giving Samuel credit to being a mouthpiece for Ashley. Ashley has sent him 1 pre-written interview. The rest of his articles have been his opinions which applaud Ashley in attempts to gain an exclusive or some sort of contact with him. He’s been called out on his behaviour by other journalists.

This isn’t coming from Ashley, he even states that. This is him saying he will still lick his arse in the hope Ashley comes to him to say his goodbye’s through him. This is him playing devils advocate and getting one last bite from the fans who are anxious for it to be confirmed as done.

This is Martin’s last throw of the dice, Ashley has already rolled his.

It’s basically just a bunch of bitch journalists who are all salty because they knew nothing of this the whole time. It took some astute fanatic on Twitter to uncover the companies house stuff which ultimately was the story in itself.

I would even say Caulkin was kept in the dark over this one, mostly. He kept his powder dry which gave the aura that he knew all along but I have my doubts.

Whoever leaked the story to the WSJ could well have fucked this whole thing up, thank god clear heads prevailed and the pandemic situation also twisted Ashleys arm.

If any outlet or reporter had news that a deal wasn't agreed, they'd write an actual article about it and not just what is essentially a section in an opinion piece

Other articles in the same rag detail what everyone else has been saying since Tuesday. But it's just odd and has planted a seed of doubt about the entire thing for me due to his connection with Ashley. Which feels absolutely horrible. No idea if I'm just bedwetting like but this feeling ain't nice at all after the last few days.

He is the mouth-piece of the regime. And proud of it which is pathetic for a so-called journalist especially a sports-one and as a man.

So this will be right. He will know. He will have been told.

Too much smoke. Season ticket time, bad publicity the other week - all forgotten.  Just as all the media will forget being hoodwinked by the same odious c**t that tried to rake cash in whilst risking everyone's lives.

The only thing that was different was his losing money during lockdown and football being postponed.

Reality check for those that have their concerns about the takeover/fakeover. Its something like that, or this for the rest of at least Ashley's life.

It’s not the articles it’s the documents in companies house signed by both parties that are the important ones and a matter of actual fact.

So what about legal documents signed by BOTH parties and submitted to companies house. You can’t bullshit that.

If anybody can he can. If anyone would pull out of this somehow and knowing every loophole known to man to exploit, it'd be him. Hope it is legally binding and maybe just a final sick twist on is way out.

I didn't think they'd set up monochrome aquisitions a year ago just for a scam but they did. Each one has been more elaborate than the last via the law of diminishing returns. I might have said on here that the next one would only need the i's dotted and the t's crossed and the one after that just the i's dotted.

Hope its wrong but

It’s not even an article, it’s a column piece, I.E. it is the thoughts and opinion on someone’s view over recent events. It is not intended to be news, or factually correct. It is intended to be filler material.
