Been looking at some stats and he fares even worse on those than he does the eye test.

0.27 tackles won per 90 minutes this season (even Shelvey has 0.99) means he’s by far our worst player in that respect. 0.44 interceptions per 90 also makes him the worst by miles in that department. Likewise his pressing stats are the worst of our midfielders by a considerable distance. He has the lowest passes completed per 90 of all our midfielders... I could probably go on.

Unbelievable how he adds absolutely nothing to the side, i was trying to focus on what exactly he's trying to do on the pitch and mostly he was late almost every single time when trying to press them or stop an attack, he just seemed to wander around and the minute he gets the ball just passes it to nearest man and fucks off again.

From what I've seen his main focus seems to be run around in front of the back four and try to get in the way of the opposition without actually getting anywhere near them.

Who’d have thought that trying to fix the most important position on the pitch with a Burnley reject would backfire?

Don't really get the Burnley reject stuff, they wanted to keep him.

He is terrible though

Because I'm quite enjoying the collapse, I've watched a lot more of us recently than I think I ever have under Bruce, and I cannot think of a single moment where I noticed this bloke. I mean literally at all. If you'd told me he hadn't touched the ball in four games I'd believe you.

I genuinely think he's worse than Colback

It was incredibly frustrating watching Colback get pushed around like a small child but he was always out there scrapping at least, as bad as he was. And he did have the odd moment where he did some good things.

This man Hendrick is just lost at sea. It's astonishing how invisible he is when he plays. It doesn't even make sense.

Exactly, even Colback could manage a slide tackle now and again, and actually chased players down. This guy is the most invisible player I've ver seen,it's almost an artform.

That's true  You would think once or twice a game he would be involved in a phase of play, just by the law of averages. The fact he manages to avoid any responsibility at all whilst creating the illusion of being busy, it's almost impressive.

 right? It’s actually impressive to me, he somehow stays out of games when really it should be impossible to. You could tell me he hasn’t played when he has and I wouldn’t be able to disagree. At least Colback you could see him being gash. Hendrick is invisible
