If the six PL teams are part of the announcement tonight, do they get thrown out immediately? So City won’t be champions this season?

How can they be thrown out the league?  Surely all the TV money that has been paid relies them being in the league.  And if they do leave then TV money in the league will go down so the poorer clubs will be even poorer and. the richer clubs even more rich.

Just relegate the lot of them and promote the top of 6 of the Championship up. Fuck them. Cunts. Hate to think how their fans are feeling.

No, needs to be a whole domestic ban, not just ban from the league.

There is no clause to say they have to be in the league, otherwise the league could never have the threat or relegation or sanctions.

There's no way they've read the room so badly. There has to have been an end-game, here.

And any notion of Masters threatening them with expulsion is nonsense, IMHO. He'd likely promise them an even bigger say in the PL.

he'd have had to do what the majority want and the majority of premier league clubs are doubt rather pissed at the moment

Aye, far more likely Dicky completely cucks for them.

Not sure if people are being entirely serious or not, but they’re not just going to kick the teams out the league tonight and that’s that, it won’t even get that far, there’s no chance the premier league are going to want to lose 6 clubs and there’s no chance the 6 clubs would risk being expelled from the league.

It’s a power play and we’ll see what happens but no ones getting thrown out of any leagues despite the grandiose statements being made

Ultimately, the FA will bottle it here  - they will give in to the big 6 eventually.

Sadly this is true. The punishment should have been dished out by now. They have already given them the opportunity to come out and say it’s lies, or never a serious consideration etc.

I think it's more hollow threats.  World wide TV money comes from the likes of Man U - there is no way they can throw the clubs out without it having contract ramifications.  Kicking them out will a.) reduce the number of matches on TV b.) reducing the appeal of paying for PPV TV.

We know nothing will happen here, but we are saying it should. The 90 clubs who would be left to deal with the fallout of this should be more important than 6 of them who just want more cake.

The League will have the right to dish out sanctions. Future TV deals will likely go down, but they will have the right to take action against clubs, which would include expelling them.

'The league' being the 14 other clubs?

The 14 other clubs don’t dictate everything though, the board does. The 14 other clubs only vote on rule changes, board changes, and TV contracts.
