You need to upload it first to a hosting site like Imgur. Once you've done that, you can get the links to share it on a forum or message board. If memory serves me right, once you copy that link, you just paste it into the reply box on the thread. The more technical minded here might correct that or add anything i've missed. It was pure hatred towards him that afternoon. I know people say he only sacked him because Rafa approached us but I think he was a goner either way after that one. You did everything right but linked the gallery instead of the image. The gallery link is just the website and the random string without a .jpg, .png .gif etc. Without that "Insert image" here has no clue what to do.
