This has ended up a bit of a rant but so be it .

Usual Bruce drivel. He always says "you have to accept it" when talking about criticism but he never does. Not one fellow supporter has expressed to me during Bruce's tenure that they hope for a world record transfer let alone expect one. Pardew was an outright liar but we've never had such a whiny manager. Constantly bleating about injuries, pressure, expectations, comments from George from Dunston on twitter which he doesn't apparently read. It's never-ending. For a bloke involved in top level sport as a player and a manager for over thirty year he is completely incapable of dealing with the vast majority of the demands of it.

Mourinho is called a complainer and dark and moody but he's got nothing on this fella. When he gets a result or two he's always on the attack. There's a lot of complexities to managing a football club. I get it. Dealing with the supporters especially up here isn't one of them. The managers that have got it (Keegan, Robson, Hughton, Benitez) never really take issue with the fans. They embrace them, even the sometimes negative aspects. They all say how important we are, how we know are football (incidentally Liverpool fans for example are always credited with being intelligent by the media and football in general whereas we're talked down to and about) and how we have the right to say how we feel. Bruce treats us like an inconvenience, like he's being asked to deal with a wasp's nest in the loft and take the bins out on the same day. Why doesn't any journalist ever say you don't seem like you enjoy the job Steve ? He applied to be manager, if he doesn't like it he could resign. Part of "getting" what this club is about is understanding it's a privilege to manage Newcastle United and should be treated as such.

What a fucking odious prick he is.

"Here's the big thing, Newcastle have been a bottom half club for the last fifteen years, the difficult thing is managing the expectation of the fans".

Fuck off, that's the easy go to narrative of a know-nowt two-bob pundit, not the team manager.  Stupid fat wanker.

He’s trying to change the mentality of this club into a small one, like a Wigan etc. Then he can get praised for keeping us up. The wanker treats the fans with contempt, but as long as he’s seen as the ‘good’ guy outside he’ll continue to be happy. If fans criticism is soo much, why doesn’t he go to another job? Bloke is the biggest cunt to manage us.

Nah he’s not that clever, he’s just on the constant defensive because he knows he’s shit and knows everyone else does, but as long as he does what his job description is which is to keep us up, that’s what matters to Ashley and therefore him and justifies him doing a good job in his eyes. He’s a fraud basically.

Hope this means that regardless of the Leicester result, that when fans are allowed back in they give this fucker all the abuse he deserves!

Not a chance Alex Hurst will get the 10k  crowd chanting shevleys name

(Re: conceding 2 late) "Could only happen to us, that's Newcastle for yer"

"That's for shuwa" and "Well, ya kneeeuw" to make an appearance a few times also.

you're only missing "job should come with a Government health warning" for the full set

This last little splutter of wins reminds me of Parsees for five finish.  Nice but you know that it's just going to collapse into a downward spiral. He's had a lot of experience of downward spirals but has no clue how to stop them or why they even happened in the first place.

Just waiting for the inevitable

The Bruce era is and will continue to be on an endless loop. Forever 12th-17th, regardless of investment; dismal performance after dismal performance, interspersed with useful wins thanks to the talent in the squad; set to a theme tune of defensive and self-obsessed soundbites in the media. 'Bruce isn't good enough,' cry the fans and the honest press; 'Yes he is because Newcastle,' responds the Ex-player Rent-a-Quotes. 'The criticism is fair enough - the criticism is unfair!' wails the man himself within the space of a sentence on TalkSport and Zoom. Accumulation of points. Roll wuh sleeves up. Look. Listen. Ye nouw. Treacle sponge and shortbread biscuits. Chomp blow lick guzzle gasp. Have a little bit of respect.

Notice how he wasn't even prompted on the Craic Hope stuff this morning; he just came out with it. Desperate to be hard done by. Same as when no one mentions Rafa, he can't resist.

Was really hoping he was going to come out and say, after a performance like that, they don't want the season to end.

This following his recent comments on wanting the season over.

Which no one in the media would pull him up on.

He doesn't help himself. He lacks so much humility. At no point did he need to go onto talksport and make it about him. However he'll be feeling bullish now and will have to stay in the media limelight for when he needs his next job.

I can deal with his limitations as a manager albeit thru gritted teeth however time and time again he’s showing that he lacks humility . No wonder the players allegedly aren’t having him.
